THE MIND/BODY CONNECTION

Research has shown that thoughts are converted into chemicals. These chemicals are carried as messages to the cells of the body to tell them what to do. This translates to you are constantly communicating to your body to either be tense or relax, to be up or down, and everywhere inbetween. So, what do you choose to tell your body to do?

I believe there is more. Research has also show that everything is basically energy. An atom has very little substance and a lot of energy. That energy eminates from our body. We are communicating with the world around us in an unseen way. Have you noticed how some people make you feel better just by being around them, you don't even have to talk to them. The same is true about some people leave you feeling worse than you did before you saw them. Children and animals sense who to trust. Some animals are able to detect illness in people.

So, what does this mean for us? For me, I realize every thought I have and action I take has an effect on everything around me and maybe even everything. It has become more important for me to take responsibility for what I think, what I say and what I do. While I don't try to be perfect, I just want to have a positive effect instead of a negative one.

What effect are you having on the world around you?
